Yourself

Reflect, Renew, Refresh

The Wealth Alchemist team has partnered with Sylvia Beasley-Suffolk and Julia Stahle to provide women in the Zurich area with a unique opportunity to attend a 4-hour, in person, outdoor retreat in an idyllic surrounding. Our program consists of pilates, meditation, a longevity/biohacking session, a longevity & sustainability economy session and a discussion on bringing inner peace to all aspects of your life. Our event is sponsored by SpermidineLife®HealthBoostsFreshFace Natural Soap and Von James Sourdough Bread. To sign up for the event- go to The Wealth Alchemist to sign up

Some of my recent BIOHACK & LONGEVITY findings:

  • Mortality from lung caner has almost tripled in women in the past two decades (XX Brain)

  • In England & Australia, Alzheimer’s and Dementia have become the leading causes of death for women, knocking heart disease out of the top spot. (XX Brain)

  • Checking Omega-3 Levels as an anecdotal measure for Alzheimer’s prevention. The so-called Omega-3 index indicates that you consume a balanced amount of omega-3x and omega-6s. This is favorably associated with a reduced risk of many chronic diseases, especially cardiovascular disease. With the exception of people from Alaska, 95% of Americans are estimated to have a low-omega-3 index. In Asia and Europe, this is less of a problem. (XX Brain)

  • The Importance of the B VitaminsBirth Control Pills are known to deplete your B Vitamins as is heavy drinking. B6, B12 and folate (B9) deficiencies can lead to problems with brain function, the nervous system, and other health markers. Get your B levels checked next time you do a blood test. (XX Brain)

PEPTIDE TOWN

  • Spermidine: First a little history lesson; Antonie van Leeuwenhoek (1632–1723) is the sort of improbable father of microbiology. He learned how to make his own microscopes which offered pretty advanced magnification for that time. I suppose it won’t surprise people that if you are a curious man with access to a high powered microscope, you will eventually study your own sperm. Well, in 1678, that is exactly what Herr Leeuwenhoek did. In doing so, he discovered the presence of crystals in human semen. Eventually, other scientists noticed these crystals and the names Spermidine and Spermine were coined. It was originally thought they were only to be found in semen, but we now know that it exists in our body as a peptide and is not limited to that one location:)

Spermidine is a unique, naturally occurring molecule, part of a group of molecules known as polyamines. Polyamines interact with our cells to perform various critical metabolic functions. One of spermidine’s biggest and most profound functions, from which other functions stem from, is the ability to counteract aging and promote autophagy. Autophagy being the process whereby our cells clean up the damaged or zombie cells in our body that can wreak absolute havoc if left unchecked. Getting rid of the bad cells means good cells are allowed to flourish. This means higher levels of energy, better cognitive function and overall reduced ageing.

CRISPR stock inception

WHO is CRISPR? They are a Swiss Based (Zug) company focused on developing breakthrough, gene based therapies to treat serious diseases. Their R&D operations are based in Boston. They went public in October of 2016, selling their IPO shares for $14.00. If you had bought 1000 shares at $14.00 back in 2016, you would be up over 800%, with a value of $127,830. The current average price target of over 18 investment firms is $163. Their Beta is 2.25 and are losing $5.64 a share. Thus, they are very volatile. They are typical of a long-term, mid-Cap, high-growth potential stock. (Always seek financial advice before purchasing shares.)

“Dr. Emmanuelle Charpentier, one of our scientific founders, co-invented CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing. Until then, people knew “CRISPR” only as an acronym for the Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats of genetic information that some bacterial species use as part of an antiviral mechanism. Now, as a gene-editing tool, CRISPR/Cas9 has revolutionized biomedical research and may soon enable medical breakthroughs in a way few biological innovations have before. CRISPR/Cas9 edits genes by precisely cutting DNA and then letting natural DNA repair processes to take over. The system consists of two parts: the Cas9 enzyme and a guide RNA.”

IPO News

CODEX DNA (DNAY) went public on June 18th and trade 30% higher than the IPO share price of $16/share. They closed at $18.50. According to their website; Codex DNA empowers researchers with end-to-end solutions and tools they need to rapidly and securely design, code, and create synthetic DNA. Experience up to 20x increases in productivity to your product development cycles.
